Flor De Un Dia, acrylic, 22x15" (55x37cm.), part of the series of Tango paintings. Unfortunately, this picture doesn't let you see the abstract background very well, then I did the couple dancing. The title comes from the title of an Argentinian tango, and some of the lyrics are written in the painting. Esta pintura es parte de la serie de pinturas de Tango. Lamentablemente, esta foto no te permite ver el trabajo abstracto que hice detras de la pareja. El titulo viene del mismo nombre del tango argentino, y algunas lineas estan escritas en la pintura.I was born and raised in Argentina, so tangos are very dear to me. I love the music, the rythm, and the dancing. The lyrics sometimes are too tragic. I'm an immigrant by nature, and enjoy the process of discovery, of new people, a new language, a new culture. I went as immigrant to the US very young, and lately have been an immigrant to France. As an artist, it's not a bad place to be: an outsider looking in, with an opportunity to re-invent yourself. Yo naci y fui criada en Argentina, asi que los tangos estan cerca de mi corazon. Amo su musica, su ritmo, y el baile. Las letras a veces son demasiado tragicas. Yo soy inmigrante por naturaleza, y disfruto el proceso de descubrimiento, de gente nueva, de idioma nuevo, y de una nueva cultura. Fui como inmigrante a los EE.UU. muy joven, y ultimamente he sido inmigrante en Francia. Como artista, no esta mal: siempre una de afuera mirando para adentro, con la oportunidad de re-inventarme a mi misma.
