STAR PRINCESS CRUISE Journal, ink and watercolor
Star Princess Cruise to Hawaii Journal, ink and watercolor.
My own private journal (with a compass!) of daily activities, events, concerts, lectures, books read, people I met, etc. during the 15 day cruise. I kept a written and painted journal. I will not publish every page, but some.
Day 1: we boarded the cruise ship early, so I had time to paint the bridge in the Port of San Pedro, viewed from the ship, before we left.
That afternoon we watched the movie: "Parental Guidance". My husband and I enjoyed it very much, as we could empathize with the grandparents in the movie.

Port of San Pedro in Long Beach, watercolor
Port of San Pedro in Long Beach, California, watercolor, 4x6 in.
South American Cruise, watercolor 2.
First day at sea, I was on Deck 10 of Carnival Splendor, painting with three of my traveling companions: Nick, Valerie, and Villem. We liked a particular spot, a bit secluded, good light, glass windows we could open when and if we wanted, good tables and chairs, and a place where we could dispose of our dirty water without causing any mess. We had bathrooms nearby, and the food courts and restaurants downstairs floor 9. We were in heaven! Some of the views, like this one of Long Beach, I painted from photos I took with my iphone. Enjoy, and follow along, exciting adventures await you!

South American Cruise , watercolor 1
Sorry for not publishing my blog for over a month. I was in a cruise aboard Carnival "Splendor", featured here above. We left the port of San Pedro, near Los Angeles, California, on February 3rd. I brought my watercolors with me. We were three couples friends from before, in a cruise ship with 3,000 passengers. I will now start blogging about the 6 week trip, starting in Los Angeles on the Pacific Ocean, and ending in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on the Atlantic Ocean. Come along!!!!!
