NAWILIWILI PORT, watercolor on Arches paper, 11x14" (28x35.5 cm)
Painted aboard Princess Cruiseship, during my recent trip to Hawaii, Samoa and Tahiti. This port was fun, beautiful, and convenient, because the beach is right there, about a block from the port, so you can enjoy the beach and water, then go back to your ship to shower and change.
Nawiliwili is the port in Kauai, one of the islands in the State of Hawaii, in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.

TANGO AT THE END OF THE WORLD, watercolor
Tango at the End of the World, watercolor, 12x9 in.
South America Cruise series # 38
Hanging out in Ushuaia, tango dancers caught our eyes, our imagination, and our cameras! It was really fun to hear tango music again, after so many years out of Argentina. This was our last day "at the end of the world". After cruising for 4 weeks going south on the Pacific, from now on we would start going north on the Atlantic. Very exciting! The daily paintings, of course, never stopped. What else did I have to do?

ARICA, CHILE, watercolor
Arica, Chile, watercolor, 12x9 in.
South American Cruise watercolor series # 18
South on the Pacific Ocean, our next port was Arica, in the border between Peru and Chile. Arica used to belong to Peru, now it belongs to Chile. Very dry area of the world, Arica has brown hills with some ancient hieroglyphics, very interesting. This painting is also in exhibition at FROM THE END OF THE WORLD show at Gallery 21, Spanish Village Art Center, San Diego, California, till April 22nd. My paintings are exhibited together with Doreen Mellen's ceramics. Come see our work! Come to our Artists' Reception on Sunday April 14th, from 3:00-7:00 pm. You are invited!

LOOKING FORWARD, watercolor
Looking Forward, watercolor, 4x6 in. (10x15cm.)
South American Cruise , watercolor 1
Sorry for not publishing my blog for over a month. I was in a cruise aboard Carnival "Splendor", featured here above. We left the port of San Pedro, near Los Angeles, California, on February 3rd. I brought my watercolors with me. We were three couples friends from before, in a cruise ship with 3,000 passengers. I will now start blogging about the 6 week trip, starting in Los Angeles on the Pacific Ocean, and ending in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on the Atlantic Ocean. Come along!!!!!
