Voyage en Espagna, or Trip to Spain, a small watercolor in my journal. About two weeks ago, I started driving to the north of Spain, from Cauterets, in the French Pyrenees. My friend Marie Christine and I took turns driving. We drove down from the mountain town of Cauterets, through Lourdes, and took the A64 Autoroute to San Sebastian, already in Spain. It's only about 3-4 hours drive, but we had left late in the day, so we arrived at night. At the tapas bar, we asked for nearby accommodations, and were directed to a charming "Pension", where a very nice lady took us in for the night. San Sebastian is a beautiful city in the Basque section of Spain. Tapas, small open-faced sandwiches with an incredible variety of foods and colors, are the specialty.
