Balance, contrast and movement are the key elements of a mixed media painting. For "Life is a Blossoming", I used watercolor and acrylic paint, salt, alcohol, gold leaf, and water.

Eye of the Stone, mixed media, 24x19" (60x48cm.) Available: 500 Euros, 750 $US. Exhibited at this moment at the Bibliotheque Municipale de Cauterets, France, as part of the solo show: "De l'Emotion `a l'Image", September 1-October 7, 2011.
Philip Ball, in "The Invention of Color", describes beautifully how much Science there is in ART, and how much Art in SCIENCE. Very interesting en engaging book.

Un libro muy interesante.

"Romanticism", in the 19th C., was born as a reaction to  "Reason above all". Romanticism explores drama and contrasts, sensation and the artist's individuality, imagination and fantasy, evasion, dreams and nature. Main characters: Delacroix, Pre-Rafaelites, Goya, Friedrich, Impressionists.
