Expectations

Expectations, oil on canvas, 22x28" (55x70cm.) This painting can be seen and purchased at Petrini's Restaurant, in Little Italy, San Diego, California. I painted "Expectations" last Spring, around March/April 2010, the title applied at different levels: the Jacarandas at the corner blooming announcing Spring, the people seated at the table waiting for their food, and the owner's young daughter Laurel expecting to improve her health. Many things have happened since the beginning of the year, some good, some bad. Laurel is no longer with us. Every day counts, until you can't count them any more. Muchas cosas ha pasado desde el principio de este ano, algunas buenas, y algunas malas. Laurel no esta mas en este mundo. Todos los dias cuentan, hasta que no los puedas contar mas.
