Je me laisse emporter, watercolor, 36x26 cm.

This painting has a black (almost) umbrella. I didn't really use black, but a combination of the darkest brown and the darkest blue, which produces this "almost black" for watercolors. Matisse was not afraid of using black in his oils. Matisse's ability of making black work convinced Renoir that Matisse was an artist of note. The impressionists usually avoided black, but the problems that black represents attracted Renoir. Esta pintura tiene un paraguas negro ( casi negro). En realidad yo no utilize el negro, sino una combinacion del marron mas oscuro y el azul mas oscuro, y esta combinacion produce un "casi negro" en acuarelas. Matisse no tenia miedo de usar el negro en sus oleos. La abilidad de Matisse de usar el negro bien, convencio a Renoir que Matisse era un buen artista. Los impresionistas generalmente evitaban el negro, pero los problemas que el negro representa atraia a Renoir.
