Languissante Rhapsodie, oil on canvas, 40x50cm. This is my view of a torrent coming down from Pont d'Espagna, near the Cascade de Loutour, near Cauterets, France.
Again, I will refer to Paul Cezanne, since I can relate to his desire to be true to what he saw and also to the circumstances in which reality dictates how it must be seen. To celebrate both permanence and transience, and to honor the uniqueness of the artist's vision (which Cezanne called his "petite sensation") and the universality of what is actually seen, tormented Cezanne, and worries every artist I know.
