Atocha, Madrid, watercolor, 5x7" (12x17 cm.) Atocha is Madrid's central train station (Madrid, Spain). In 1995, they transformed the old station into this very modern train station, labeled one of the most beautiful in the world by Newsweek. In the central area, there is an incredible tropical garden, with a micro-clima maintained by sprinklers and water sprays, including lakes and bridges. Birds and tortoises entertain the travellers walking by, shopping in the stores surrounding the garden, or sitting in one of the restaurants overlooking the tropical garden.
Atocha es la estacion central de trenes de Madrid, Espana. En 1005 transformaron la vieja estacion en esta nueva estacion moderna, designada como una de las mas hermosas del mundo por Newsweek. En la zona central, hay un jardin tropical increible, con un micro-clima mantenido por riego por aspercion y agua vaporizada, que incluye lagos y puentecillos. Pajaros y tortugas de agua entretienen a los viajeros que pasan caminando, o que recorren los negocios alrededor del jardin, o que estan sentados en uno de los restaurantes que dan al jardin tropical.
