Au Village

Au Village, watercolor on Yupo, (30x40 cm.) "Au Village" is a small store, art gallery, library, next to the 12th C. Eglise de Saint Savin, in Saint-Savin, Haute-Pyrenees, France. The store owner is Jacqueline Peyrot, a lovely lady who welcomes with a smile and a story all visitors. I was there this afternoon. When you come to Saint-Savin and go to Au Village, tell her I sent you.

William Turner: He sanctified light and color allowing them to dominate his subjects. He seemed to attack the very concept of form even while painting traditional scenes. He made many people in the art world uncomfortable. He was a genius.
