Zapatos

Zapatos, pastel, 40x50cm., 2010. A new version of an old favorite: old shoes. Some of my favorite things are old shoes, hanging clothes, men and women working with their hands. In figurative painting, the design is the key to the painting, so never hurry when drawing: a well designed picture paints itself. When you paint trees, imitate the movement of the tree, or they'll look like telephone poles. Remember to look twice and paint once: Study your subject carefully. Look for the big pattern and paint it as simple as possible. If you get your values right, almost anything will look right.

Busca las grandes manchas, formas, y pintalas tan simple como puedas. Si tus valores estan bien, casi cualquier cosa se vera bien.
