L'Abbe' Pierre, watercolor, 35x27.5 cm. (15x11"). L'Abbe Pierre was a generous, common sense, intelligent, kind, hard working priest in France who created a strong organization to help the poor, EMAUS. He practiced what he preached, and worked side by side with the volunteers. I did this watercolor after reading the book about his life and works. The painting now hangs in the home of Ms. Mireille Lesclous, in Argeles-Gazost, France. L'Abbe' Pierre, acuarela. El cura Pierre fue un sacerdote generoso, con sentido comun, inteligente, amable, trabajador, en Francia. El creo una organizacion muy fuerte para ayudar a los pobres, EMAUS. El practicaba lo que decia, trabajando lado a lado con los voluntarios. Yo hice esta acuarela cuando termine de leer el libro sobre su vida y sus trabajos. Esta pintura esta en el hogar de la Sra. Mireille Lesclous, en Argeles-Gazost, Francia.
